Our SNP in dna Tells New Information
Q haplogroup, of which Q3's are American Indians, are in shortand called M 242.
M242 and P36.2 and M378 are in the Q family.
More recently the M378 SNP was discovered downstream (means it evolved later in time) from P36. Men with SNP M378 were then sorted into Haplogroup Q1b and in Europe most of those men have Ashkenazi Jewish ancestors. SNP M378 apparently evolved in Northern India/Pakistan about 12 to 15,000 years ago and is today found among a small number of the Sindhi in Pakistan and Hazara near by.The more recently evolved M378 SNP takes away the link between the mountains of Siberia, the Ashina and the Khazars.
